The Volvo C30

The C30 was Volvo’s first effort in cracking the small car market. First arriving in 2006, it was based on the Ford Focus and was incredibly stylish. Running against rivals such as the BMW 1 Series and the VW Golf, the C30 boasted excellent levels of standard spec, bombproof built quality and excellent safety ratings. The C30 was offered with eight different engine variations, and was refreshed in 2010 with a facelifted front and back end. The most economical model was introduced in 2009 in the DRIVe model, whilst the highest performance model was the C30 Polestar – which with 405 break horsepower, remains the fastest road legal car from Volvo, ever.

The C30 was discontinued in 2012, but demand for the models remain high with the design ageing well. The diesel models especially continue to command respectable values.
